General
The Paper Daisy is located in Toormina on the beautiful Coffs Coast, close to Sawtell, Boambee, Coffs Harbour and surrounding areas.
We are a cake, coffee and deli shop creating custom cakes, everyday treats, specialty coffee and fresh grab-and-go deli items.
Our planned opening hours are Monday to Friday, 6:00am to 4:00pm.
Saturday cake collection may be available by appointment. Please check with us when placing your order.
We offer custom cakes, celebration cakes, coffee, deli-style food, sweet treats and catering.
Our daily range may include things like coffee, fresh sandwiches, focaccia, salads, overnight oats, chia cups, juices, iced coffee, cakes and other seasonal items.
Availability may change from day to day, as we like to keep things fresh.
Custom Cakes
Yes, we create custom cakes for birthdays, weddings, baby showers, engagements, corporate events and other celebrations.
Each cake is designed around your occasion, colour palette, serving needs and inspiration. We love creating cakes that feel thoughtful, personal and beautiful.
We recommend ordering as early as possible, especially for weekends and busy celebration periods.
For custom cakes, at least 2 weeks’ notice is ideal. For larger cakes, wedding cakes or detailed designs, more notice is always helpful.
Short-notice orders may be possible depending on availability, so please reach out and we’ll do our best.
Yes, absolutely. Inspiration photos are very helpful for understanding the style, colour palette and overall feeling you’re drawn to.
We don’t copy another cake exactly, but we can use your inspiration to create something beautiful in The Paper Daisy style.
Yes, we create wedding cakes for couples across Toormina, Sawtell, Coffs Harbour and the wider Coffs Coast area.
Wedding cakes are quoted individually based on size, servings, design, flavours, delivery requirements and set-up needs.
Cake sizing depends on how many guests you’re serving and whether the cake will be served as dessert portions or coffee-style portions.
When you enquire, please let us know your guest numbers and how the cake will be served, and we can recommend the best size.
Ready-made cakes or cake slices may be available in store depending on the day.
For whole celebration cakes, we recommend ordering ahead to avoid disappointment.
Yes, we can create cakes for workplace events, launches, staff celebrations and corporate gifting.
Please send through your event details, guest numbers and any branding requirements so we can discuss what’s possible.
Ordering, Payment & Changes
Cake enquiries can be submitted through our website. Once we receive your details, we’ll review your request and come back to you with availability, recommendations and pricing.
Your order is not confirmed until the design, date, price and payment details have been finalised.
Custom cake orders may require a deposit to secure your date.
Your booking is only confirmed once your deposit has been paid. Final payment details and due dates will be provided when your order is confirmed.
We understand that details can change.
Small changes may be possible depending on how much notice is given. Design changes, serving changes or date changes may affect the final price and availability.
Please contact us as soon as possible if you need to update your order.
Cancellations are handled case by case depending on the order, timing, ingredients purchased and work already completed.
Deposits may be non-refundable once your date has been reserved or preparation has begun.
We’ll always communicate clearly with you at the time of booking.
Custom cakes involve hours of skilled work, quality ingredients, and careful design for your specific occasion. This is a lovely guide from a fellow cake artist that explains it really well:
Pickup, Delivery & Cake Care
Cake pickup is available from our Toormina shop.
Delivery may be available for some cake orders depending on the date, location, timing and cake design. Delivery is quoted separately where available.
Saturday cake collection may be available by appointment.
Please let us know your preferred collection time when ordering so we can confirm availability.
Please keep your cake flat, level and supported from underneath.
Place the cake in the boot or passenger footwell of your car. Keep the car cool with air-conditioning. Drive carefully, and avoid sudden braking or sharp turns.
Do not leave your cake in a parked car. Once collected, the cake becomes the customer’s responsibility, so please take care when transporting it.
Place your cake on a flat, stable surface away from heat, direct sunlight, pets and little hands.
Unless advised otherwise, keep your cake refrigerated. Remove from the fridge 30–60 minutes before serving for the best flavour and texture.
We’ll provide care instructions with your cake so you know exactly how to look after it.
For the neatest serves, tall cakes are best cut into strips first, then into smaller portions.
You’ll need: A large sharp knife, a clean cutting board, a paper towel, and optionally some hot water for cleaner cuts.
Step 1 — Remove candles, flowers, toppers and any non-edible decorations before cutting.
Step 2 — If your cake has more than one tier, separate and cut one tier at a time.
Step 3 — Cut the cake into even long strips from one side to the other.
Step 4 — Place each strip onto your cutting board for easier slicing.
Step 5 — Cut each strip into smaller finger portions or slightly larger dessert serves.
Paper Daisy Tip: For the cleanest slices, wipe your knife between cuts. For the best flavour and texture, remove the cake from the fridge 30–60 minutes before serving.

The Paper Daisy is designed mainly as a grab-and-go cake, coffee and deli shop, with a small number of seats available.
Our focus is on beautiful takeaway coffee, fresh food and custom cake orders.
Yes, larger coffee, deli or catering-style orders may be possible with notice.
